Get ready!

Congratulations! You’ve taken your first step towards a healthier, happier gut. Now it’s time to prepare. Below you’ll find a starter pack – which includes an overview of your weekly meal plans, a shopping list for week one and week two, some essential pantry staples, a dietary fibre calculator and more.

Preparation is key!

Before you start the challenge, be sure to:

1. CHECK YOUR LISTS

Crosscheck your shopping lists and essential pantry staples with the contents of your fridge, freezer and pantry. Doing so will help you avoid doubling up on ingredients you already have, and saving you time (and money) at the shops.

2. MAKE SPACE

Your kitchen audit probably turned up a bunch of ingredients you won’t be needing for the next two weeks. Move these to the back of your fridge, freezer or pantry, or give them to friends, family members or a neighbour if they’re a temptation.

3. HIT THE SHOPS

With your lists of essential pantry staples and fresh ingredients, pop to the shops for your week one ingredients. You’ll need to go back to shops to pick up your fresh ingredients for week two.

4. TELL PEOPLE!

Let your friends, family and colleagues know you’re about to start the Helga’s Gut Health Challenge. Their support will help over the next two weeks, and they might even like to join you!
