Open Cheese, Tomato, Basil, Prosciutto Sandwich
Ingredients
- 4 Slices of Helga’s Traditional Wholemeal
- 4 thin slices prosciutto
- 4 large slices tomato
- 2 cups grated white cheddar cheese, divided
- Small basil leaves
Steps to create:
- Preheat oven
- Lay the prosciutto on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes
- Toast the bread on both sides until golden
- Top each slice with tomato and ½ cup of cheddar cheese, pressing cheese into sandwiches
- Set oven to broii and move rack to top position
- Toast until cheddar cheese is golden then top with the prosciutto and sprinkle with basil.
